HGV Training - Category C and C+E
Truck Training UK (Warrington) Ltd specialise in heavy goods vehicle (HGV / LGV) driving tuition for rigid or articulated vehicles. If you are looking for a highly paid permanent HGV driving career take a look at the training packages on offer at our Warrington depot.
LGV Category C Licence
Rigid vehicles require an LGV Category C licence. This licence is the new replacement HGV Class 2 and 3 licence. The benefits of the LGV Cat C licence is drivers are qualified to drive any rigid vehicle with no restrictions on number axles, weight or size.
Our LGV Cat C course includes:
Medical, Licence Application and 1 hour Assessment Drive. ‘Special Starter Offer’ Theory Test, which is a multiple-choice exam and the new Hazard Perception Test.
Practical Training (minimum 16 hrs behind the wheel). This can be either intensive 4-5 days or conducted over several weeks (eves and weekends available)
DSA Practical Test approx 1½ hrs.
Once you have passed your Cat C licence with Truck Training UK (Warrington) Ltd you eligible to train for your Cat C+E licence with us.
LGV Category C+E Licence
Articulated vehicles or vehicle pulling a trailer require an LGV Category C+E licence. This licence replaces the HGV Class One licence and allows qualified drivers to drive any rigid or articulated vehicle with no restrictions on number of axles, weight or size.
Our LGV cat C+E course includes:
Practical Training (minimum 12 hrs behind the wheel). This can be either intensive 2-3 days or conducted over several weeks (eves and weekends available).
Please note these courses are subject to an assessment drive (£20). (No medical or theory required)
DSA Practical Test approx 1½ hrs
